Connect your agent

Run your store from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP agent.

LotsCommerce is a remote MCP server. Add the URL below to your agent and sign in with your Lots account; you approve the connection and can disconnect it at any time from connected apps. Everything your agent does shows up in your dashboard.

MCP server URL

https://api.lotscommerce.com/mcp

Things to ask

Set it up

Claude (claude.ai and desktop)

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors. Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it LotsCommerce, paste the MCP URL and select Add.
    https://api.lotscommerce.com/mcp
  3. Select Connect and sign in with your Lots account.
  4. In a chat, turn LotsCommerce on from the + menu under Connectors.

Team and Enterprise: an owner adds it once under Organization settings, then Connectors (Add, Custom, Web). Members then connect it from Customize, then Connectors.

ChatGPT

  1. Go to Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it LotsCommerce. Under Connection, enter the server URL, then choose OAuth for authentication.
    https://api.lotscommerce.com/mcp
  3. Tick I understand and want to continue, then select Create as a plugin.
  4. Install the plugin and sign in with your Lots account. In a new chat, type @, select LotsCommerce and ask.

Custom MCP servers with full MCP, read and write, are on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web only. On Business, only admins and owners can add them; on Enterprise and Edu, admins can also give other members permission. Pro can connect custom MCP servers with read and fetch permissions only.

Claude Code

  1. Add the server:
    claude mcp add --transport http lots-commerce https://api.lotscommerce.com/mcp
  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp. Select lots-commerce, choose Authenticate and allow access in the browser.

Cursor

  1. Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project's .cursor/mcp.json):
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "lots-commerce": {
          "url": "https://api.lotscommerce.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Cursor asks you to sign in with your Lots account the first time it connects.

Other agents that support remote MCP: add the same URL as a remote (HTTP) server and sign in.

Cloud agents without MCP

  1. Create an API key at www.lotstech.com/api and store it in the agent's secrets.
  2. Give the agent the skill at https://lotscommerce.com/skill.md and the agent docs at https://api.lotscommerce.com/docs.md.
  3. It calls the REST API with Authorization: Bearer <key>.
